May 21-25, Armenian delegation consisting of representatives from the State Employment Agency of the RA, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the RA, Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development of the RA, Caritas Armenia, as well as iMigrantArmenia.EU project representatives had an official visit to the State Employment agency of the Republic of Moldova.
The representatives of the SEA Moldova presented the state policy and legislation regarding the labour migration and employment of labour migrants, both citizens of Moldova and foreign workers. In this respect, the representatives of the SEA Moldova mentioned the specific bilateral agreements that were developed with different countries in order to facilitate citizens labour migration and job search. Meanwhile, an increase of the number of investors in Moldova facilitated the work permit acquisition by the foreign workers in the country. An IT platform developed in cooperation with the EU and the Swedish Public Employment agency was presented (www.e-angajare.md). The platform also hosts an electronic job fair, which facilitates the contact between the jobseekers and potential employers.
The Armenian delegation, from their side, also shared the Armenian experience and the existing legislation and procedures regarding labour migrants.
The sides expressed hopes for closer future cooperation, more specifically in terms of joint programmes between State Employment agencies of the two countries.
